Fall Amazon Essentials Tailored to You

Blogging! It’s been a while but I’m trying to get back to a consistent schedule. I know how much it benefits you all and I really do love doing it. So let’s jump right back into it, shall we?

I’m seeing some Fall trends that can be tailored to your everyday style. These are 10 fall essentials from Amazon that I believe every woman can add to her wardrobe, tailored to your personal style and fall needs. I’ll give you some examples to help as we walk through them.

1.      Ballet flats

These are everywhere right now! You can wear them for every season, making them more versatile. I suggest purchasing a pair that is a neutral color for you, meaning matching your skin tone or hair color. Doing so will allow you to get a lot of use out of them. Pair them with jeans, skirts, pants, and just about anything.

2.      Knee-high boots

Knee-high boots sort of went out a few years back and booties were all the rage. However, they really came firing back last fall and are the go-to boot of the upcoming Fall/Winter season. I’m sure you have also noticed some celebrities wearing them in the hot summer months. What’s my take on this? Personally, I can’t stand hot, clingy boots when it’s 90 degrees outside. I also think they just look out of place. Those who were wearing them were in mostly cooler locations/settings, so it really depends on the location and your weather. If you enjoy boots in the summer, then go for it. But they are certainly a favorite of mine come the colder months. Again, to get the most use out of your shoes/boots, go for a color that matches your skin tone. With tall boots, it’s also really nice to match your hair color. If you want to go out a bit more on color, try matching your eye color. You can also try a style sandwich and match your shirt color.

3.      Straight-leg jeans

I like a good straight-leg jean for everyday wear. They are flattering and you have tons of options. These are a good option to try. I also like a darker wash for the colder months but it’s really up to you and your preference. It feels more structured and polished for me.

4.      Trench coat

Trench coats are very much all over NYC and are a preferred coat to transition from fall to winter. I prefer a single-breasted one for the structure and clean, long lines.

5.      Blazer

I personally feel everyone needs a tweed blazer for Fall/Winter and this is a good option. The structure is flattering, as well as the color, pockets, and button. All of that should be considered when looking for a blazer.

6.      Sneakers

It’s important to find a comfortable sneaker that you can wear with outfits that you can throw on with a lot of wardrobe options. I really like these from Veja. They are comfortable and made from recycled materials. That’s a win-win for me!

7.      Vest

I know but hear me out on this. Vests are very much in style! Try styling with a button-down or under a blazer. You can also wear it alone but totally up to your style and comfort level. Sometimes it’s nice to try something a bit different than what you are used to to see if you like it or not. I try to get my clients to get out of their comfort zone a little and it’s been eye-opening for them. They wish they had done it sooner.

8.      Tote

A lightweight cargo tote like this one is super stylish. I suggest a color that is neutral for you or one of your inherent colors (such as your eye color, hair color, or even your lip color).

9.      Sweater

I love a comfortable go-to sweater you can throw on with jeans, pants, leggings, skirts, and even over your dress. V-necks are flattering for everyone.

10.  Button down

Button-downs are “top” picks for style and comfort this Fall/Winter. I like this vertical striped choice. It is elongating and flattering. Have fun with it and choose an inherent color, just be sure to keep watch of the color contrast in that the contrast matches your contrast level. Not sure what I’m talking about?
